Our spa birthday party was lots of fun not only for the girls but for the moms.
This year my daughter wanted to have a spa party complete with spa masks and cucumbers so that’s what we did.
The girls each got a personalized bag with fingernail file and buffer, a foot soak kit, mirror, and personal spa treatment schedule at their place settings.
I am in love with paper straws. I even used them for the cake pops.Mini fruit salads
All the girls got a spa dress and head wrap to wear to the party. They helped to get them in the mood to relaxed. We did face masks With cucumbers
and fingernailsOur foot soak was pink cristals and a bath fizzyThen a zen garden and hand soakI apologize for the photos of the bath salt station I forgot to take photos of them and found one where they were in the background but not great.
The girls made their own bath salts in the smell they liked to use when they got home.
The other station was DIY lip gloss.
So I won the best mom in the world award for today she can’t stop talking about how much fun she had. Each the girls took home their foot tubs filled with all the items they need to have a spa day at home too. Now I need a real spa day:)

I was wondering where you got the pattern or the “how to” to make a the spa dresses. My daughter wants a spa party for her 7th birthday and the planning has begun! Thanks!
Tina
Several years ago my 7 year old and I learned to make pillow case dresses. They are very very easy and many YouTube videos out there. I was going to make these with terry cloth in more fitted syle but remembered how easy Pillow case dresses are and how they fit so many sizes. I also had several yards of white fleece so used it, they turned out very soft and cuddly. I used no pattern but made them in the same way. They could not be any easier I made 6 in about 2 hours. I hope this helps!! The girls LOVED them and it really set the feel of being at the spa. Good luck:)
this really helped plan my 14th birthday party! thanks!
I am so glad it helped. Hope you had as much fun as we did:)
Where did you get the customized baggies..so adorable!!
The bags were pencil bags I got at Wal-Mart last year after the school supplies went on sale. I added the names on myself.
Where did you get your cute little mirrors? Also what did you put in the little bags?
Melissa, I bought the mirrors at the dollar tree. In the bags were manicure items for each girl. I also bought them at the dollar tree as well, they had ceramic fingernail file/file block and fingernail brush kit, also a polish. I think that was all if I remember right. Hope that helps
I looked at Dollar tree and couldnt find the mirrors 😦 I know they change items all the time so Im really hoping I will find some soon! Thanks for the reply!
Where did you find the tubs for their feet? Thank you for posting this, my daughter is having a spa party for her 8th birthday in a few weeks!
Michelle
I used dish washing tubs that I found at Dollar General. They were shallow and just the right size for the girls. I looked everywhere at every bowl and tote for about a month and found these were the best. They were about 1.50 each and were the perfect size to send home with them holding all there goodies. I put there names on with sharpies and have washed ours many times and still looks new. The stones were in many colors in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby. Hope you have a great party! The girls had a blast at ours.
Thank you
Danielle
can you tell me where you got the recipes for the homemade bath salts ? doing this same theme for my dd in a few weeks!
Allie
I looked at several different recipes that called for Epson salt, kosher salt, and baking soda. So I just used the bath mix of Epson salt it had more than just Epson in it. I added 1 Tablespoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of Kosher salt to 1 cup of Epson mix. Then we added 3-4 drops of sweet pea or peppermint sent. (I found them in the soap making isle of hobby lobby they have many different kinds). She used it all the time. I loved the way they looked but wish I would have used plastic containers. Hope that helped. Hope your party is great!
I’m planning a spa party next month for my daughters 10th birthday. All of this looks great and I’m happy to see answers to my questions in the comments! Thanks for posting and all the info. 🙂 I know it’s been a year, but any idea on the total cost, roughly? Did you do all of the nail painting? Or did the girls do it? And where did you get the head wraps?
Found you on Pinterest.
Niki
No idea on the cost sorry. I had a lot of the items and picked things up slowly over a few months. Most items were from the dollar tree or equally as cheap. A few things I got at the dollar store were files, mirrors, containers, hair towels, and the little sand garden things. I got the pink bags on clearance at Wal-Mart for 25 cents each. The back to school stuff is on sale now so I would check it out. I made all the cupcakes and food items. The foot soaks tabs were from per 1 there were like 40 in it for $4 and we added pink crystals from hobby lobby that I got 1/2 off for $2.50. The containers I put them in were from Wal-Mart for a few dollars or the liquor store. We use them for condiments and lunchboxes so we had them on hand. I had all the nail polish already, we used gelish so we did the LED light and the 3-4 step polish. Myself and another mom did the polishing at the same time the other girls visited the other stations. I think that some of the girls may have had trouble polishing themselves but if you don’t mind the possible mess I am sure they would love it. Bath salts were very cheep and I already had the containers. The wrapping paper was from hallmark that I made the table runner with but the plates were very reasonable at target. I hope that helps a little sorry I didn’t have a better simpler answer.
Thank you for all the info! I have a month to pull it together.
Good luck and have a great party!!
Where ever did you find those super cute mason jars?
Where ever did you find such cute little mason jars?
I bought them from a cute shop in my area called Paper Gourmet. They do not have a website but they are on Facebook. We use them all the time we just make iced hot coco in them the other day.
Thanks a bunch and sorry about the duplicate message!
Did you have them mix the bath salt in something else before putting it into jars or just put in jar and stir?
Annette,
There was more than enough room in the jars so they placed everything in the jar put the lid on and shook them. I thought about doing it in another bowl but went this way because it was less of a mess. 🙂
Thank you! So fun!
Hi Danielle,
Where did you find the pink crystals? Do they disolve?
Michelle
I got them in the wedding section of Hobby Lobby. They are 5.99 or so and you get a lot so 1/2 off made them a great deal. They are plastic so they did not but the girls loved them I had to send some of them home with the extra.
You’re awesome. Never seen someone follow up to every comment received! This helps a lot! Thank you!
Thank you!
Your party is adorable. I’m having a spa party next Friday for my 9 year old. I am so thankful for all your ideas! Can you tell me how you did the lip gloss..like how much of each ingredient?
Where did you find the lip gloss containers? I love all your ideas!!! Gonna do all of them!
Kara
Glad to help:) I found the containers I used at the Dollar Tree. They were in a large pack in the craft area. I found others at Hobby Lobby but at just $1 could not pass them up the cheap ones. Hope you have a great party! The girls have so much fun getting pampered.
How did you do the DIY lip gloss?
So sorry it took me so long to get back to you. We just did the Vaseline and instant kool aide/lemonade type. I found lots of types on pinterest but this was the easiest for 9 year olds. Hope that helps
Adorable party! Where did you find the mirrors? I’ve been looking everywhere! Thank you !
Lauren
I found them at the dollar tree. I was just in ours the other day and they still had several choices. I found some very cute ones at Marshals but as many as I needed 8 $7 each seemed a bit steep. I think that $8 for all of them was great and they were perfect to include in there goodies to take home.
Good Luck!
Danielle
Was it specifically dollar tree or another dollar store? We have dollar tree and dollar general here. thank you!
Where do you get the coloring for the water and the dissolvable petals for the water
Hello Michelle sorry I so long to get back to you we have been on vacation. The pink water was caused by a pink fizzing tablet I bought at Pier 1. I also placed pink plastic crystals I bought at hobby lobby in the wedding section. The flower pedals were just fabric and bought in a bag after Valentines Day.
Hi. I was curious about where you found the head wraps? The girls all looked adorable!
Thanks! They had so much fun. I found the head wraps at the Dollar Tree.
