Spa Birthday Party

Our spa birthday party was lots of fun not only for the girls but for the moms.

This year my daughter wanted to have a spa party complete with spa masks and cucumbers so that’s what we did.

The girls each got a personalized bag with fingernail file and buffer, a foot soak kit, mirror, and personal spa treatment schedule at their place settings.

I am in love with paper straws.  I even used them for the cake pops.Mini fruit salads

Mini veggie cups

All the girls got a spa dress and head wrap to wear to the party.  They helped  to get them in the mood to relaxed. We did face masks With cucumbers

and fingernailsOur foot soak was pink cristals and a bath fizzyThen a zen garden and hand soakI apologize for the photos of the bath salt station I forgot to take photos of them and found one where they were in the background but not great.

The girls made their own bath salts in the smell they liked to use when they got home.

The other station was DIY lip gloss.

So I won the best mom in the world award for today she can’t stop talking about how much fun she had.  Each the girls took home their foot tubs filled with all the items they need to have a spa day at home too.  Now I need a real spa day:)

About danielle

Hi! I am Danielle Interior designer turned stay at home mother of 3 wonderful kids. I love to do crafts, projects, parties, and photography. With this being said I am a not a pro by any means and have had many many failed attempts. Some funny and some just plain ugly:) I do not care for cooking and house work. My goal is to find a better, faster, more organized way to just get it done so I can spend time with the ones. This is where Pinterest has come into my life. Pinterest and I have a love/hate relationship. I have spent the better part of a day looking up great ideas and never putting them to use. What a waste of time... or is it? Sometimes I find something that rocks and I try it and the world is a better place:) But the worst is when I try something and it’s a big bust. A how did that ever pass for working, did they even read the steps they were giving, or do you think they get a laugh out of my attempt. Many friends have told me that I need to post the bad ones so they don’t bother and let them know the good pins so they can give them a try. So here goes!

Several years ago my 7 year old and I learned to make pillow case dresses. They are very very easy and many YouTube videos out there. I was going to make these with terry cloth in more fitted syle but remembered how easy Pillow case dresses are and how they fit so many sizes. I also had several yards of white fleece so used it, they turned out very soft and cuddly. I used no pattern but made them in the same way. They could not be any easier I made 6 in about 2 hours. I hope this helps!! The girls LOVED them and it really set the feel of being at the spa. Good luck:)

    • Melissa, I bought the mirrors at the dollar tree. In the bags were manicure items for each girl. I also bought them at the dollar tree as well, they had ceramic fingernail file/file block and fingernail brush kit, also a polish. I think that was all if I remember right. Hope that helps

I used dish washing tubs that I found at Dollar General. They were shallow and just the right size for the girls. I looked everywhere at every bowl and tote for about a month and found these were the best. They were about 1.50 each and were the perfect size to send home with them holding all there goodies. I put there names on with sharpies and have washed ours many times and still looks new. The stones were in many colors in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby. Hope you have a great party! The girls had a blast at ours.
      Thank you

I looked at several different recipes that called for Epson salt, kosher salt, and baking soda. So I just used the bath mix of Epson salt it had more than just Epson in it. I added 1 Tablespoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of Kosher salt to 1 cup of Epson mix. Then we added 3-4 drops of sweet pea or peppermint sent. (I found them in the soap making isle of hobby lobby they have many different kinds). She used it all the time. I loved the way they looked but wish I would have used plastic containers. Hope that helped. Hope your party is great!

  8. I’m planning a spa party next month for my daughters 10th birthday. All of this looks great and I’m happy to see answers to my questions in the comments! Thanks for posting and all the info. 🙂 I know it’s been a year, but any idea on the total cost, roughly? Did you do all of the nail painting? Or did the girls do it? And where did you get the head wraps?
    Found you on Pinterest.

No idea on the cost sorry. I had a lot of the items and picked things up slowly over a few months. Most items were from the dollar tree or equally as cheap. A few things I got at the dollar store were files, mirrors, containers, hair towels, and the little sand garden things. I got the pink bags on clearance at Wal-Mart for 25 cents each. The back to school stuff is on sale now so I would check it out. I made all the cupcakes and food items. The foot soaks tabs were from per 1 there were like 40 in it for $4 and we added pink crystals from hobby lobby that I got 1/2 off for $2.50. The containers I put them in were from Wal-Mart for a few dollars or the liquor store. We use them for condiments and lunchboxes so we had them on hand. I had all the nail polish already, we used gelish so we did the LED light and the 3-4 step polish. Myself and another mom did the polishing at the same time the other girls visited the other stations. I think that some of the girls may have had trouble polishing themselves but if you don’t mind the possible mess I am sure they would love it. Bath salts were very cheep and I already had the containers. The wrapping paper was from hallmark that I made the table runner with but the plates were very reasonable at target. I hope that helps a little sorry I didn’t have a better simpler answer.

Glad to help:) I found the containers I used at the Dollar Tree. They were in a large pack in the craft area. I found others at Hobby Lobby but at just $1 could not pass them up the cheap ones. Hope you have a great party! The girls have so much fun getting pampered.

I found them at the dollar tree. I was just in ours the other day and they still had several choices. I found some very cute ones at Marshals but as many as I needed 8 $7 each seemed a bit steep. I think that $8 for all of them was great and they were perfect to include in there goodies to take home.

      Good Luck!

Where do you get the coloring for the water and the dissolvable petals for the water

    • Hello Michelle sorry I so long to get back to you we have been on vacation. The pink water was caused by a pink fizzing tablet I bought at Pier 1. I also placed pink plastic crystals I bought at hobby lobby in the wedding section. The flower pedals were just fabric and bought in a bag after Valentines Day.
