Crock Pot Lasagna

Posted on

I keep hearing about crock pot lasagna on pinterest.  I could not image this working but though hey why not give it a shot.I checked about 20 pins so decided to mix it up a bit.  It turned out great!!!  I didn’t get a great photo of it finished but it looked just like Lasagna.  I only wish I would have put more noodles in .  I was just afraid that they would not cook.  That was not a problem at all!

You need

  • 2 cups Cottage Cheese
  • 24oz pasta sauce
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • Ground turkey/beef/chicken
  • fresh spinach
  • lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1/2 a can of drained diced tomatoes (Just because I had them)
  • Crock pot bag (Just because I love them.)

Brown meat with onion then add sauce.  Put 2 spoonfuls at the bottom of your crock pot

Then add 1 layer of pasta

now mix 2 cups of cottage cheese with 1 1/2 cups of cheese and place a 1/3 of the mix on top of noodles.

Then a layer of spinach

repeat with sauce and other steps until you have the number of layers you want (I did 3)

Turn Crock pot on low for 4 hours

Add cheese and put lid back on for 20 min (we didn’t wait that long the kids were hungry)

Your done enjoy!

About danielle

Hi! I am Danielle Interior designer turned stay at home mother of 3 wonderful kids. I love to do crafts, projects, parties, and photography. With this being said I am a not a pro by any means and have had many many failed attempts. Some funny and some just plain ugly:) I do not care for cooking and house work. My goal is to find a better, faster, more organized way to just get it done so I can spend time with the ones. This is where Pinterest has come into my life. Pinterest and I have a love/hate relationship. I have spent the better part of a day looking up great ideas and never putting them to use. What a waste of time... or is it? Sometimes I find something that rocks and I try it and the world is a better place:) But the worst is when I try something and it’s a big bust. A how did that ever pass for working, did they even read the steps they were giving, or do you think they get a laugh out of my attempt. Many friends have told me that I need to post the bad ones so they don’t bother and let them know the good pins so they can give them a try. So here goes!
